Gary Paul Varner is the author of the Annals of S.O.L.M. series, as well as a writer for Mind Matters News and a cohost of the Faith, Fiction, and Folklore podcast. His work focuses on dark urban fantasy, science fiction, and all things concerning faith, fiction, and folklore.

Through both fiction and commentary, he explores how faith and media influence society. His writing favors atmosphere over spectacle and embraces both paragons and morally gray characters. He lives in Missouri and, hopes to continue writing well into the future.
